JRE help in Feisty Fawn

Hi

I have installed JRE 6 .I can run Azureus .but I i cannot see java applet working on my browser. I guess there is same running environment used for applet and application .
any idea !

hello prateek,
this problem is with the plugin listing

i am listing a method for firefox plugin,

you have to type two commands, on console,
they are

Code:

$ sudo ln -sf /[jre path]/plugin/i386/mozilla/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins/libjavaplugin.so

$ sudo ln -sf /[jre path]/plugin/i386/mozilla/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin.so

now for these two commands you will need to specify the jre path that you can find using

Code:

$ locate jre
